Samuel H. Davis

Second Lieutenant Samuel H. Davis is a deceased United States Army Air Service officer, killed in 1921 while on a training mission in Florida.

Born in 1896 in Tucson, Arizona, Second Lieutenant Samuel H. Davis attended the University of Arizona in Tucson before enlisting to fly in 1917. A veteran of World War I, he survived the war and remained in the Army Air Service. Davis died in a military aircraft accident while serving in Florida on 28 December 1921 while a passenger in a Curtiss JN-6 HG at Carlstrom Field, Arcadia, Florida.

Davis–Monthan Air Force Base is partially named in his honor.
